Protein is Non-Negotiable for Weight Loss

Protein isn't just the latest health buzzword. It is the cornerstone of healthy eating.

Getting healthy is typically at the top of people's goals. Often, that involves losing weight.

Whether that’s adopting one of many popular diets (Keto, Paleo, Carnivore, etc.), undergoing bariatric surgery,  or using GLP-1 medications, what you eat, how much, and how fast you eat matters far more than before. And so does protein.

Protein is the cornerstone of healthy eating because it:

  • Prevents muscle loss during rapid weight loss
  • Improves satiety when portions are small
  • Helps stabilize blood sugar
  • Reduces fatigue and weakness (prevalent on GLP-1s)

I’m a former journalist and marketing consultant. I combine my love of good food with my obsession for organization - because a well-stocked, perfectly arranged pantry is just as satisfying as a delicious meal. When I’m not experimenting with cooking new dishes for friends or figuring out the most efficient way to make meal prep exciting, you’ll find me out in San Francisco with my dog Benny, binging on podcasts, or checking out new dining experiences. Some days it’s gourmet, other days it’s survival mode!
