Air Fryer Pumpkin Cake

All year round, pumpkin desserts have my heart. Especially during the holiday season, any sort of pumpkin pie, cake, or anything really is at the top of my list for recipes. This year I'm trying to make all of my typical holiday recipes in the air fryer, and although it seems a bit untraditional, I found that it comes out perfect this way! If this seems like something that would pique your interest, follow along for this atypical yet oh-so-yummy pumpkin cake recipe!

If you're like me and want to make everything in the air fryer these days, this pumpkin cake recipe is for you! It's not much different than cooking in a traditional oven, but the air fryer makes the process so much faster!

Ingredients

  • 1 15.25 oz 1 box super moist french vanilla cake mix

  • 1 15 oz 1 can pumpkin puree

  • 1 c 1 water

  • 1/2 c 1/2 vegetable oil

  • 3 3 large eggs

  • 2 tsp 2 pumpkin pie spice

  • 1 8 oz 1 tub whipped topping, thawed

  • Optional toppings
  • cinnamon

  • chopped nuts

  • chocolate chips

  • powdered sugar

Directions

  • Spray two air fryer cake pans with cooking spray and set them aside.
  • Use a mixer to beat the cake mix, pumpkin puree, water, vegetable oil, eggs, and pumpkin spice together until thoroughly combined.
  • Pour half the batter into each cake pan.
  • Bake each cake separately in the air fryer for 35-40 minutes at 320°F or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cakes cool completely before removing them from the pan. Cut off the top of each cake with a serrated knife.
  • Spread half of the whipped topping over the top of each cake and then sprinkle with any other desired toppings.
  • Plate and serve.
